Grater

It hurts, doesn’t it?

To watch your close ones slip out,

It’s exhausting, isn’t it?

You don’t want to digest the fact, The terrible truth,

Once invincible, You feel human again,

You scope out for peace,

For a silent & smooth sleep,

You grow cautious,

You wake up determined, But that heavy heart from yesternight,

Weighs you down,

Drags down your emotional status,

But do you feel anything now?

Have you become numb yet?

Don’t you feel like crying?

How many more years are you gonna carry those tears?

They aren’t gonna dry anytime soon,

Like a grater, you are engraved with holes from your past,

Do they hurt you anymore?

Have you become numb yet?

Peeling each layer off, My skin shows a shade,

No, it isn’t on the darker side, Neither it is on the lighter side,

It’s the color of blood, I’m human, yet again!!
