I tried to enter this world, this digital arena,
Where there are wars being fought on social media,
Hoaxes took over facts by mere likes,
And did got spread in this world where people as an information source are scarce to find,
Yes! I am an old-school, I still carry a diary and prefer them over voice notes on my smartphone,
There’s a different essence altogether when you pen your ideas on paper,
I still carry my pocket diary with yellow sticky notes,
I still jot down my tasks and strike them off,
It’s always fun when I dump the day’s to-do list with a smile spread across my face,
We now live in this world where we ask strangers their Social media Ids,
And not “Where shall we meet the next time?”
Yes! social media does help us to stay connected,
But somewhere we have lost our feelings towards one another,
We stay numb, we do hesitate to speak when we meet the person in real-life,
As they say, “Nothing is flawless in this world”
P.S: I would love to know from you, the readers, what should my next blog be about. I have quite a lot of drafts waiting to be published. Do notify me in the comments section below!!

“The costume of the nineteenth century is detestable. It is so sombre, so depressing. Sin is the only real color-element left in modern life.”
Oscar Wilde in ‘The Picture of Dorian Grey” talks about the nineteenth century modern life, the streak of newfangled waves that began to quiver primordial roots of life, but as we stand in 21st century as elucidated in this particular piece,You brought the irony of the world, that the internet has surely made the world minuscule and engulfed between the thin fingers of human beings, howbeit we are walking afar from those attachments, emotions ,agony that constitute human soul. It is laudable that you still choose to stick onto some former methods.
