“Success awaits those who steadfastly commit to any requisite sacrifice”
―
It was quite a hard time, Being an undergraduate, people expect you to be “a lot social” and “Available”. It’s quite understandable because at the end of the day what matters is how you enjoyed your day. But for me it was different.
Being an undergraduate I had to make sense with what I am pursuing and what I need. They say “have some time for yourself”, and I did throughout all four years of me pursuing my Bachelor of Technology. I’ve been involved in nearly everything, from Technical Research to Writing and publishing a book, and owning a blog to designing websites for a firm with a sound academic score (Yes, it matters a lot here in India, as you are judged on the basis of that). These all activities demanded a lot of time, and I had no other option left other than giving them the required time. Well, let’s jump to why I decided on moving with so many things?
- Blog (My Part of Life) – My Part of Life, as the name says, are all the experiences I had throughout my life which I frame as short stories and convey them via this platform. The reason behind My Part of Life is to connect with people and learn from them, I am a keen reader and I used to read rather writing on this blog. And then I thought to adopt a new writing style where I write short stories and convey a message to my readers. The blog is a result of my daily observation. And the blog name will change to “Our Part of Life” when I find a possible soulmate 🙂
- Writing Books – Writing a book was never my cup of tea, but the reason why I wrote a book was simple, I had a zeal to know how easy will it be for a budding blogger to write a book. And the response was quite amazing for Beyond the Mundane Glance. Everyone was able to interpret distinct meanings from each chapter which made this book a lifetime achievement for me. Also, I’m working on a few other books which will be soon on Amazon.
- Research – Research was and will always be my love forever, I love to explore technical stuff, let it be the understanding the trending OS or let it be staying awake whole night working on programs to automate my daily activities on the web and what not.
The reason why I never stop exploring various things is quite simple, the day you stop learning is the day your brain stops analyzing and evaluating things. A human brain needs a break, and yes I agree with that, but it doesn’t need a vacation. Vacation is something that Body demands, whereas brain demands a short nap.
Life is not all about doing something that you do every day, Life is about trying different things to make your life simple and much easier. It’s all about learning and improvising and executing the same. Society will tag you as a “Nerd” or “not-so-cool” type of person. But that doesn’t matter, because we are the daily drivers for them, the same way how the software requires a debugging and maintenance team.
The struggle that you do is what drives you to success, and innovation is something that determines your success. This blog is the answer to all people who call me “The Restless Soul”.
“Neither a zombie to walk dead Nor a trapped soul, I’m Kalyan, a Restless soul”
P.S.- The above listed are few things I have a commendable grip on I guess, remaining are still hidden being logo designing, photography, Counselling, and Stand-up comedy and I belong to the ACE Tier in Player Unknown Battlegrounds (all the gamers out there)!
Ah, I know that struggle! Some may even call me anti-social, but there are so many interesting things to work on, I just can’t give up on them in order to be ‘available’ all the time! Not now, not during my uni times (which, by the way, weren’t as ‘free’ as they might seem, having to commute to a different city for lectures and working part-time consumed even more time than my current 9-5 job).

Well, even I also need to join a 9-5 job soon, So I have to schedule blogs now on. I too spend a lot of time commuting and discovered a Playlist with 500+ songs. All the best for your future endeavors. We both are on the same lane.

I hope your son did the best he could, and congratulations to your daughter. At the end of the what matters is “How dedicated one is towards what they are doing”. I wish them all the best for their respective careers and you too. Mom’s are the best backup a child can ask for. Thank you for your appreciation.
